CPWB Rescue Team Assaulted By Beggars

The rescue team of Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) was assaulted by the beggars mafia for taking beggars children into protective custody, here on Friday
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Oct, 2022 ) :The rescue team of Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) was assaulted by the beggars mafia for taking beggars children into protective custody, here on Friday.
The begging gang brutally tortured the staff of the bureau including lady officer deputed at Mohni Road on routine child beggars rescue operation.
CPWB Chairperson Sarah Ahmad strongly condemned the incident and said that legal action should be taken against perpetrators. She informed that first information report (FIR) was also being lodged against the accused on behalf of the injured rescue team.
The chairperson said that rescue operations were underway in the limits of all district offices of CPWB to end child beggary, adding that people involved directly or indirectly in this racket would be dealt with iron hands.
