MANSEHRA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Jul, 2025) Acting on the directives of the provincial government and instructions from Deputy Commissioner Mansehra, administrative actions were taken in both Naran and Oghi to address public complaints and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
In Naran, Assistant Commissioner Balakot carried out surprise inspections of several petrol pumps following multiple complaints from the public regarding fuel quality and service standards. The inspections revealed violations of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) set by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA). These included the sale of substandard fuel, under-measuring petrol, poor hygiene, and inadequate safety arrangements.
As a result, fines were imposed on the petrol pump owners found guilty of breaching OGRA regulations.
The Assistant Commissioner emphasized that such inspections are aimed not only at upholding the rule of law but also at ensuring the provision of safe and quality services to the public. He assured that similar actions will continue in the future to resolve public grievances and promote transparency.
Meanwhile, in Oghi, Assistant Commissioner, along with the Agriculture Officer, conducted an inspection of fertilizer and pesticide shops in the main bazaar. During the inspection, several shops were found selling expired agricultural products and operating without valid licenses. These shops were immediately sealed, and the owners were instructed to report to the Agriculture Officer’s office for further legal proceedings.
