DC Reviews Arrangements For Muharram

NAWABSHAH, Sept 14 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Sep, 2017 ) : Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad, Muhammad Nouman Siddique, stressed upon Ulema to play their role in maintaining peace, tranquility and brotherhood in the district during the days of Muharram.
Presiding over a meeting on Thursday, he advised to set up control rooms to monitor the law and order situation at Taluka and district level. The DC instructed police officials to make foolproof arrangements for security of Imambargahs and mourning processions.
Cable network operators were directed to shun channels accept religious channels during Muharram days. Health department was advised to ensure availability of required drugs, doctors, ambulances and paramedical staff at all hospitals and Rural Health centres.
HESCO was directed to avoid load shedding during Muharram days. The DC advised Assistant Commissioners to remain in contact with Ulema and resolve issues with their consent. Ulemas present on the occasion assured their cooperation for maintaining peace and tranquility during Muharram days.
Meeting was also attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Waseem Hamid, Information Offier Sher Muhammad Jamali, Rangers Officials, Assistant Commissioners of Talukas Nawabshah, Qazi Ahmed, Sakrand and Daur, Ulema of different sects and officials of concerned departments.
