ECP Directs Political Parties To Follow Code Of Conduct

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jun, 2018 ) :Election Commission of Pakistan on Wednesday directed the political parties and individuals to follow code of conduct in the upcoming general elections to be held on July 25.
The ECP also directed the respective administration and monitoring teams to take strict action against the violators. "Strict action should be taken against the individuals and political party violating the code of conduct and no relaxation should be given to anyone," the notification said.
The commission will not tolerate any violation on account of publicity material. No person or a political party shall affix or distribute posters, handbills, pamphlets, leaflets, banners or portraits, larger than the sizes prescribed by the Commission.
In no case the picture of government official shall be printed on any publicity material by any political party / candidate/ election agent. The ECP also forbade use of panaflex and hoardings.
