Fahad Malik Murder Case: Anti-Terrorism Court Summons 6 More Witnesses

An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Tuesday resuming the hearing of the case pertaining to murder of Barrister Fahad Malik testified four witnesses and summoned six more prosecution witnesses in the next date of hearing.
The court, in its previous hearings, had already testified three witnesses as well as three accused had been indicted including Arshad Mehmood, Nouman Khokhar and Raja Hashim.
Four prosecution witnesses assistant sub inspector Ghafoor, Bashir Awan, Akbar Sultan Malik and a doctor of PIMS which testified the Medico Legal Report of Barrister Fahad Manzoor testified their statement before the court.
Cross examination of three accused was completed during the proceeding while the cross examination of doctor from PIMS will be conducted in the next hearing.
It is worth mentioning that Section 7 ATA was earlier removed by the ATC judge and transferred the case to lower courts against which the victims' brother Jawad Sohrab challenged the same in Islamabad High Court which restored the 7 ATA in the case and set aside the ATC judgment for dropping terrorism clauses and transferred it back to the ATC.
The Shalimar police had booked accused Arshad Mehmood, Nouman Khokhar and at least eight others after Fahad Malik was gunned down near Shalimar Police Station in F-10/3 in the early hours of August 15, 2016.
