Farishta’s Rape, Murder: SHO Suspended For Not Registering FIR

The police only lodged the FIR last night after her dead body was found.

Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 21st May, 2019) The police authorities have suspended SHO Shahzad Town for not registering the FIR of Farishta rape and murder case.

A minor girl was found dead after being raped in Islamabad.

According to details, 10-year-old girl Farishta was abducted on May 15 from Chak Shehzad Islamabad.

Her parents continuously requested the concerned police station to register ab FIR but they refused to lodge one. Her dead body was found from Shahzad Town area on Tuesday. The body of the minor was discovered by locals who then informed the police.

The police only lodged the FIR last night after her dead body was found. Moreover, the staff at polyclinic refused to conduct her post-mortem.

The family of the girl has been protesting over her alleged rape and murder.

After the incident was highlighted on media, DIG Operations Islamabad has suspended the SHO for registering the FIR late. A departmental inquiry will be conducted against the SHO.

Moreover, DIG Operations Islamabad will head the teams constituted to search for the accused.
