Foolproof Traffic Arrangements Made Along Route Of Mourning Procession In Lahore

About six traffic DSPs, 80 inspectors, more than hundreds of women traffic wardens and 1,354 traffic wardens under the supervision of two SPs, were performing duties along the route of the procession of 9th Muharram-ul-Haram.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Sep, 2018 ) :About six traffic DSPs, 80 inspectors, more than hundreds of women traffic wardens and 1,354 traffic wardens under the supervision of two SPs, were performing duties along the route of the procession of 9th Muharram-ul-Haram.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Liaqat Ali Malik said that foolproof traffic arrangements were put in place on the main procession route of Muharram 9.
According to the traffic plan, all official staff was deputed on roads for facilitation of general public. No vehicle was allowed to enter from any arteries on procession route.
The people can park their cars and motorcycles at Nasir Bagh, Mochi Gate Bagh, Data Darbar Eye Hospital, Central Model High school, and Bengali Park in single lane.
The CTO directed traffic wardens to keep eye on suspicious vehicles and persons while performing their duties in the field. "Citizens can get any further information through Rasta App, Radio FM-88.6 and Police helpline 15." The traffic diversion points were set up at Akbari Gate, Bagh Ali, Chuna Mandi, Shah Alam Market Chowk, Mori Gate, Punj Peer, Zilla Katchery, PMG Chowk, MAO College, Lady Wallington and Saggiyan.
Traffic coming from Shahdara would be diverted to the Railway Station through Azadi Flyover. Traffic coming from inner Circular Road would be diverted towards Mori Gate, urdu Bazar, Chowk Cheterjee, Law College Katchery Road and Nila Gumbad.
