LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th August, 2016) : Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Regional Chairman and Vice President Mian Rehman Aziz Wednesday strongly condemned suicide blast in Quetta and said the coward attacks could not slow down the economic activities in Balochistan. In a message here, he said fast pace of work on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects was frustrating the enemy countries due to which they were attempting to destabilise Pakistan through coward attacks. Mian Rehman Aziz said the completion of CPEC would promote and enhance economic and industrial activities in Gwadar and usher in a new era of development and prosperity in Balochistan.
"This project will also positively contribute towards national security and solidarity, and after completion of CPEC, Gwadar seaport would serve as a gateway in the region.
CPEC will not only reduce unemployment and poverty but also become a source of economic stability and social benefits," he viewed. He said Pakistan was moving towards economic turnaround and the FPCCI would fully corporate with the government and security forces to bring peace and harmony in the region.
"Balochistan is now becoming lifeline of Pakistan and no one will be allowed to destabilize it," he vowed. He called upon the government to implement National Action Plan in letter and spirit and eliminate terrorists from Pakistan's soil. He warned the countries involved in the attack to stay away from Balochistan, saying that Pakistan desired peace but this should not be misconstrued as its weakness.
"Pakistan believes in the policy of non-interference and respect for sovereignty of other countries," he concluded.
