GB CM Inaugurates Medicine And Food Testing Laboratory

Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan, Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman here Thursday inaugurated drug, food and water testing laboratory and made it mandatory for the companies to approve the quality of their items by the laboratory before selling it in the market

GILGIT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Dec, 2017 ) :Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan, Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman here Thursday inaugurated drug, food and water testing laboratory and made it mandatory for the companies to approve the quality of their items by the laboratory before selling it in the market.

The Chief Minster on this occasion said former regimes totally ignored this important sector that affected its importance efficiency however he added the incumbent government of GB not constructed a new building for testing laborotary but also purchased new machinery for making it sure that people could get unadulterated items from the market.

With establishment of this laboratory, he said the people, playing with the lives of others could be brought before the justice through authentic evidences for exemplary punishment.

He said priority based steps were being taken to further enhance the execution of this laboratory.

He said provision of best possible healthcare services was the agenda of GB government and steps taken in this direction were yielding fruits for the benefit of the masses. The efforts and achievements of our government, he said were evident to our people however some elements having the habit of criticism were busy in conspiracies against us adding people have rejected such elements.

He said the presence of drug inspectors at sub divisional level would be ensured to frustrate the elements manufacturing forged medicines.
