KARACHI (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th March, 2019) Government has decided to implement fixed tax regime to bring millions of small traders and shopkeepers in tax net across the country.As per media report government was doing work on fixed tax regime since long.

Fixed tax will be levied from April 15, 2019 after consultation with small traders and shop keepers. .

Sources said fixed tax will be determined in terms of size of shop, nature of business in the respective area and turn over.

A certificate will be issued to shopkeepers on payment of the fixed tax by them and they will be bound to put this certificate to display in the shop.This way they will be saved from paying any bribe to tax officers. With the imposition of fixed tax regime, the income of FBR will increase manifold.
