ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Apr, 2019 ) :Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Zaidi said on Friday that the incumbent government was committed to bring the deteriorated economy of the country on track.
Talking to a private news channel, he said the previous governments of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) had ruined the economy of the country through wrong policies but the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) govenment was taking wise decisions to bring it on right track.
He said the portfolios of ministers were changed to bring further improvements in the working of the ministries and its attached departments.
Zaidi said Asad Umar was a nice person and he would continue to provide every assistance to the government in future.
He said the present government had taken many measures to put the country on road of progress and prosperity.
To a question, Ali Zaidi said except Asad Umar all the finance ministers in the past were technocrats or senators. Asad performed well and tried his best to stand the deteriorated economy on its foot professionally.
The newly appointed finance advisor was a capable and professional man with a wide experience in the field of economic, he added.
He said Prime Minister Imran Khan was a visionary leader and had the ability to overcome the challenges bravely and Inshallah would make Naya Pakistan.
Prime Minister Imran Khan appreciated those people who had the ability to do something for the betterment of the country and poor people, he concluded.
