Govt, To Distribute 25 Billion HIC To Poor People In Coming Days: Kiani

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Nov, 2018 ) :Federal Minister for National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination Amir Mehmood Kiani Tuesday said the government was going to start health insurance programme in the country and it will distribute 25 million health insurance cards to the poor people.
Talking to a news channel, he said the government was going to establish four new hospitals in Islamabad for facilitating the masses regarding their heath. The minister said government hospitals of Islamabad had been facing shortage of staff since long time and we were advertising new jobs for filling vacant seats.
He said there was a big shortage of nurses in the country and a nursing university would be established in Islamabad soon and budget of Rupees ten billion was allocated in this regard, adding that the government was taking various steps for improving health sector of the country.
He said the people would see improvement in all sectors during six months and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, put the country on the path of development and prosperity as well.
Replying to a question, he said previous governments did not pay attention on education and health sectors and they had not considered these areas in their priorities.
Amir Mehmood Kiyani said the entire nation was united against US president Donald Trump's statement and Prime Minister Imran Khan had replied him in befitting manner. He said US wanted to hide its failures in Afghanistan that was why they were trying to putt pressure on Pakistan which was totally unfair.
