Govt Urged To Set Up Shelter Homes In Balochistan

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Dec, 2018 ) :The people of Balochistan have urged the government to set up shelter homes in the province like other areas of the country to accommodate unprivileged segment of the society.

'Shelter Home' is a great endeavor of Prime Minister Imran Khan which would provide a sigh of relief to those who are compelled to live on roads and footpaths due to their pathetic financial conditions, tribal elder Asmatullah Tuesday said while exchanging his views with this official premier news agency.

He proposed the government to establish shelter homes in Balochistan as poverty is on rise across the province and people are even deprived of basic amenities including 'a place to live' .

The tribal elder said the homeless people, especially in Quetta, have no option but to stay al fresco in the extreme cold weather these days.

A laborer Hamayon Jan said due to lack of inadequate environment to live in such a freezing weather, he is suffering from various infectious diseases which caused his family to live below the poverty line.

He urged the government to establish shelter homes in Balochistan, especially in Quetta, in order to mitigate the social and economic sufferings of the unattended people of the province so far.
