Hospital Staff Beats Accused Involved In Torturing Nurse

BUREWALA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Sep, 2021 ) :Hospital staff allegedly tortured a man who, later, was taken away by police on charges of beating nurse over negligence towards the patient.
According to an official of THQ hospital, paramedics staff waged protest against torture on the nurse named Uzma Shehzadi allegedly by heirs of a patient after closing Out Patient Department (OPD) on Wednesday.
Accused was stated to have caught the lady by neck and pushed her to the ground. In the meantime, her uniform and dupatta were also torn apart.
Following this, entire staff of the hospital gathered to raise protest at stadium road after locking down OPD ward.
Meanwhile, police reached and arrested one of the nominated accused person on the spot. When it started boarding him on the vehicle, the protesting crowd rushed to the van and started beating him during custody mercilessly amid presence of police which reportedly acted as silent spectator.
While inquiring, MS hospital Dr Imran Bhatti told media that it couldn't provide CCTV footage of the incident.
He said anybody who wanted to find an evidence of the incident, should move to the court to have it. The protest was continued till filing of this report.
Accused party on the other hand released a video, stating that they came into the hospital for treatment of their mother when her condition had turned serious last night. They said they the two brothers requested the nurse to change oxygen of their mother, but she was least bothered to their appeal as was busy in chat on her mobile. According to video, it enraged them and they forced the nurse physically to come into the room to do the needful, claiming that they did nothing except of it. They warned if their mother would suffer any problem with her health, they would register case with police station against the nurse and hospital's administration. Police said enquiry was held and the case would be decided as per law.
