The city is being decorated with banners, posters and national flags, whereas various departments have been asked to organize ceremonies and seminars to mark the Day. National flags have been hoisted on public and private buildings. Foolproof security arrangements have been finalized to avert any untoward incident in the district.
According to a spokesman of District Coordination Officer (DCO) office, various ceremonies to mark the day would be organized at District, Tehsil, Union Councils and village level. An exhibition of rare photos of Pakistan Movement would also be organized at the Jinnah Hall Company Bagh, he disclosed. He said that homage would be paid to the leaders and Pakistan Movement workers, who rendered innumerable sacrifices for freedom.
