Improper Parking At Schools Causing Traffic Mess

SARGODHA, Jan 9 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 09th Jan, 2017 ) : Improper parking in most of the educational institutions of the city is distrubing vehicular traffic flow and causing problems to the people.

The people complained that some institutions located along main roads near residential areas causing traffic jam and trouble to people. A resident Khalid talking to this scribe said that University road and Shaheen chowk of 47 Pull was witnessed of poor traffic plan by the departments concerned and special attention should be paid to resolve traffic problems of the city.

Another resident said that traffic problems were increasing due to ill-planning of the traffic department and Cantonment board Sargodha (CBA) as existing educational institutes and bus terminals in the urban populated area was a reason behind these problems.

He urged authorities concerned to make bound these institutes for proper parking arrangements and also depute separate staff for controlling traffic flow in the morning and school closing time, he added.

He further said that most of the dividers had also been abolished from the busy university road and all the traffic moving across the city for taking single U-turn which also creating traffic rush.

District Police Officer (DPO) Sargodha Sohail Choudhry on the public complaints had already served notices on 20 educational institutions for creating hindrance in the flow of traffic in the city and asked them for proper arrangements of parking.

A police spokesman said that lot of complaints have been received by the district police from the public side that due to improper parking in front of educational intuitions hundreds of vehicles were parked on the roads sides resulting in severe traffic mess at busy hours of morning and noon.

Notices had been served on the heads of schools and colleges including Beacon House, Iqra Collage, ITM College University road, comprehensive girls school, ACME college, Sani School, Misali Ravian schools, Readers College, Punjab Colleges, Green Field College, Fouji Foundation and others while no arrangements so far adopted by these institutes.
