Inquiry Approved Against Ishaq Dar, Anusha Rehman, Others In NGMS Case

The Executive Board Meeting (EBM) of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Friday approved inquiry against former Ministers Ishaq Dar and Anusha Rehman and others for their alleged involvement in illegally awarding contract of Next Generation Mobile Services (NGMS).
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Aug, 2018 ) :The Executive board Meeting (EBM) of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Friday approved inquiry against former Ministers Ishaq Dar and Anusha Rehman and others for their alleged involvement in illegally awarding contract of Next Generation mobile Services (NGMS).
The EBM, chaired by Chairman NAB, Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal accorded approval for inquiry against former Minister for Finance, Ishaq Dar, former Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunications, Anusha Rehman, former Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Dr. Ismail Shah and others for allegedly misusing powers which caused a huge financial loss to national exchequer.
The other decision taken was to initiate inquiry against those government officials and others who were involved in payment of Rs 480 billion as Circular Debt in 2013 against rules and regulations.
The EBM also accorded approval of inquiry in response to complaint against administration of Neelum-Jhelum Project which was allegedly involved in corruption and misuse of authority.
Another decision taken was approval of investigation against Messers Bahria Town Limited and others for their alleged involvement inunlawfully occupying land in Takht Pari.
Investigation against the Messers Bahria Town was also approved to probe illegal land occupation in New-Murree Development Project.
