The Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) ordered an inquiry against Deputy Director (DD) Food Authority over corruption charges

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jan, 2019 ) :The Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) ordered an inquiry against Deputy Director (DD) Food Authority over corruption charges. The ACE authorities said Saturday that complainant Muhammad Toufeeq s/o Muhammad Rafique of Sargodha alleged in his application to Regional Director ACE Asim Raza that on January 1, 2019, a team of Punjab Food Authority headed by DD Food Umair Arshed conducted a raid at his shop at Muhammadi Bazaar and fined him Rs 50,000 for selling sub-standard oil and sealed the shop.

After some days, the food authorities de-sealed the shop and took away 126 drums of oil and sold it to another shop named BIO Diesel.

The Director ACE assigned the inquiry of the matter to Assistant Director ACE Ehsan Ullah and Superintendent Nisar Ahmad Joeya. In this connection, the inquiry committee recoded statements of DDFood Umair Arshed, Iqra Food Safety Inspector, Assistant food Safety Inspector Zulfiqar and the complainant Muhammad Toufeeq.
