June 22 - Last Date To File Appeals Against Nomination Papers' Acceptance Or Rejection

Candidates can file appeals against acceptance or rejection of nomination papers with Returning Officers (ROs) by Friday (June 22), which is the last date for the purpose as per the General Election-2018 schedule announced by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jun, 2018 ) :Candidates can file appeals against acceptance or rejection of nomination papers with Returning Officers (ROs) by Friday (June 22), which is the last date for the purpose as per the General Election-2018 schedule announced by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
ECP has formed 21 appellate tribunals for disposing of appeals against rejection or acceptance of nomination papers for the upcoming elections.
According to notification, the tribunals comprised high court judges. Eight tribunals had been constituted for Punjab, six for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, four for Sindh, two for Balochistan and one Federal capital.
In the Khyber Pakhtunkwa province, Justice Syed Afsar Shah will entertain appeals from NA-18 to NA-33 and PK-43 to PK-84 while Justice Musarrat Jilali will hear appeals from NA-40 to NA-51, Tribal Area-XXII, reserved seats for women in the National and provincial assemblies and reserved seats for minorities in the province.
Justice Lal Jan Khattak will address the grievances of NA-11to NA-17 and PK-25 to PK-42 while Justice Muhamamd Ghazanffar will hear the appeals of NA-1 to NA-10 and PK-1 to PK-24.
Justice Abdul Shakoor will hear the cases of NA-34 to NA-36 and PK-85 to PK-93. Justice Ijaz Anwar will hear the appeals of NA-37 to NA-39 and PK-94 to PK-99.
In the Punjab province, Justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi will hear appeals from NA-68 to NA-87 and PP-28 to PP-71. Justice Faisal Zaman Khan will entertain appeals from NA-88 to NA-98 and PP-72 to PP-92, reserved seats for women in the National as well as provincial assembly and reserved seats for minorities in the province.
Justice Ali Akbar Qureshi will hear the cases from NA-99 to NA-116 and PP-93 to PP-130 while Justice Tariq Saleem will hear the appeals from NA-117 to NA-149 and PP-131 to PP-202.
Justice Masood Abid Naqvi will hear the cases against the appeal from NA-166 to NA-180 and PP-237 to PP-267.
Justice Qazi Muhammad Amin Ahmed will hear the cases from NA-150 to NA-165 and PP-203 to 236 while Justice Mirza Viqas Rauf will hear the appeals from NA-181 to NA-195 and PP-268 to PP-297.
Justice Ibad Ur Rehman Lodhi will hear the cases of NA-55 to NA-67 and PP-1 to PP-27.
In the Sindh province, Justice Muhammad Karim Khan Agha will hear the appeals from NA-218 to NA-238 and PS-47 to PS-91 while Justice Yousaf Ali Sayeed will hear the appeals from NA-239 to NA-256 and PS-92 to PS-130. Justice Syed Hassan Azhar Rizvi will hear the cases pertaining to reserved seat for women in the National as well as provincial assembly and reserved seat for minorities in the province.
Justice Fahim Ahmed Siddiqi will hear the cases of NA-196 to NA-217 and PS-1 to PS-46.
In the Balochistan province, Justice Muhammad Hashim Khan Kakar will hear the cases pertaining to NA-257 to NA-264 and PB-1 to PB-24, reserved seats for women in the National as well as provincial assembly and reserved seats for minorities in the province while Justice Muhammad Ejaz Swati will hear the appeals of candidates from NA-265 to NA-272 and PB-25 to PB-51.
Judge of Islamabad High Court Mohsin Akhtar Kayani will hear the appeals of candidates against rejection and acceptance of nomination papers in federal capital.
