KPRA Holds Workshop On Enhancing Revenue Generation

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) Thursday organized a one-day workshop on 'KPRA team mobilization for enhanced revenue generation' with a specific focus on the role of national taxation.
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Oct, 2018 ) :The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) Thursday organized a one-day workshop on 'KPRA team mobilization for enhanced revenue generation' with a specific focus on the role of national taxation.
The aim of the workshop was the capacity building of the officials and to mobilize them for more effective efforts.
Addressing the participants of the workshop, the Director General (DG) KPRA Mohammad Tahir Orakzai stressed the need for broadening KPRA's team the abilities to mobilize resources for vital social services.
He said, in this respect, the domestic resource mobilization can rightly become a tool for generating revenues to support sustained and economic growth in the province.
He said that it was essential to identify more taxable services in the province to exploit them for social service delivery. He said the improvement in tax administration and widening the tax base, can lead to a significant increase in the provincial tax receipt.
The DG added that KPRA was generating 64.00 percent of the total tax based provincial revenue which speaks of the peoples' trust on the authority.
Beside, Collector Sales Tax Muhammad Yousaf Afridi, Director Admin and HR Arshad KhanAfridi and all other staff including additional directors, deputy directors and field staff also attended the workshop.
