Launch Of Pakistan-Japan Friendship Forum To Promote Ties

The Pakistan-Japan Friendship Forum (PJFF) was established on Tuesday to further promote the friendly ties between the two countries.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Sep, 2018 ) :The Pakistan-Japan Friendship Forum (PJFF) was established on Tuesday to further promote the friendly ties between the two countries.

The inauguration ceremony was held at the official residence of ambassador of Japan to Pakistan Takashi Kurai on Tuesday .

The PJFF aimed at promoting the cultural relations and to further strengthen people-to-people contacts between Japan and Pakistan.

The Forum was founded by its chairman Khalid Malik, a renowned businessman, with a vision to further strengthen the friendship relations.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by the representatives of Pakistani cultural organizations, members of business community, former Pakistani alumni of Japanese universities and other important socio-cultural personalities of the capital city.

Ambassador Kurai speaking at the ceremony congratulated Khalid Malik for making tremendous efforts to establish Pakistan- Japan Friendship Forum and hoped that this forum would help further strengthening the existing friendly relations between Japan and Pakistan.

He said people-to-people contacts were the very foundation for the whole relationship between two countries and expressed his optimism that the new forum of friendship would do its best for further deepening the bilateral relations.

Kurai also paid tributes to Ghulam Abbas, former minister, for his dedication for promoting Pakistan-Japan relations and thanked him for donating WADAIKO drums to Islamabad Japanese school which were made in Sialkot.

Chairman Pakistan-Japan Friendship Forum Khalid Malik said that both countries had potential to further promote their relationships in all fields including culture, business, education and sports.

He thanked the Japanese ambassador for his support in establishing PJFF.

The participants were also entertained with the skilful performance by the Japanese drum (WADAIKO) beaters.
