Mayor Sialkot Reviews Arrangements For Independence Day

SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Aug, 2018 ) ::The Independence Day will be celebrated with traditional zeal, fervor and enthusiasm in the district on August 14.

Sialkot Municipal Corporation Mayor Ch Tauheed Akhtar while presiding over a meeting held here to review the arrangements said that the main flag hoisting ceremony would be held at the Sialkot Fort on Aug 14.

He added that a large number of the people from all walks of life would participate in the ceremony.

He said all government and private buildings, including Iqbal Manzil, Govt Murray College Sialkot, main roads and bazaars would be illuminated and decorated with national flags besides colorful buntings.

The mayor said competitions of speeches, national songs and seminars would also be held at schools, colleges, universities under the supervision of the Sialkot district.
