'Midwifery System To Be Reactivated In Punjab Hospitals'

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Apr, 2019 ) :Provincial Minister for Health Dr.Yasmeen Rashid has said that Midwifery system would be reactivated in the province.
She said this in a meeting held here on Friday. DG Health Services Punjab Dr. Haroon Jahangir, Dr. Akhter Rasheed and large number of attendants were present in the meeting.
Dr. Akhter Rasheed briefed the participants about the problems regarding midwifery system in Punjab.
The health minister said the basic purpose of reviving of midwifery system was to protect the health besides controlling mortality rate of mother and infant during gynae.
She said there was a dire need to control the death rate of mother and new born during the gynae procedure in Pakistan.
She said all out resources were being utilized for the success of anti polio campaign starting from April 22 to 25.
Dr Yasmeen said provision of quality and standardized healthcare facilities to the patients in public sector hospital was the top priority of the government.
