Minister Directs Action Against Fake NGOs

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Sep, 2018 ) :Provincial Minister for Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Ajmal Cheema has directed the officials to take stern action against fake non-government organizations (NGOs).

Chairing a meeting during his visit to the department here on Tuesday, he directed the department authorities to contact with all NGOs and identify those who were misusing the money of poor and needy people.

Addressing the meeting, the minister said this money was a trust of poor people and would be distributed among them honestly.

He vowed to invite those philanthropists who would give financial assistance to the department for the welfare of needy people.

Secretary Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Ambreen Raza briefed about the structure, performance and ongoing projects of the department.

Different suggestions related to strengthening and enhancing the performance of the department were also presented in the meeting.

Director General Sajid Zafar Daal and other officers attended the meeting.
