Model Court Awards Three-time Death Penalty In Triple Murder Case

Model Court Haripur (MCH) on Friday awarded death sentence on three counts to accused Meer Afzal in the triple murder case of Khalabat Haripur and Rs 6 lakh fine

HARIPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2019 ) :Model Court Haripur (MCH) on Friday awarded death sentence on three counts to accused Meer Afzal in the triple murder case of Khalabat Haripur and Rs 6 lakh fine.

Meer Afzal and his niece Muqaddar Shah shot dead three persons including Safar Zaman and his two sons Akhtar Zaman and Mukhtiar at Khabat on account of old rivalry in 2010 and fled away from the crime scene.

Khalabat police had registered a case against the Meer Afzal and his niece under section 302 triple murder and arrested Muqaddar Shah while in 2012 district and session judge Haripur convicted the accused Muqaddar Shah in the triple murder case and sentenced him to three-time death penalty.

In May 2014 police has arrested the prime suspect Meer Afzal and then started the hearing in the court, Judge Khalid Mahmood of MCH after hearing the arguments from both sides convicted Meer Afzal and awarded him three-time death penalty with 6 lakh rupees fine.
