Motorway Police Penalize 3211 Vehicles With Illegal Plates, Tinted Windows In Sindh

On the directives of Inspector General National Highways and Motorway Police the crackdown against the vehicles using illegal number plates and tinted glasses is continue from Karachi to Matiari district.
HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Feb, 2018 ) :On the directives of Inspector General National Highways and Motorway Police the crackdown against the vehicles using illegal number plates and tinted glasses is continue from Karachi to Matiari district.
The Motorway Police spokesman Naeem Siddiqui informed here on Thursday that since February 11 the plates and window tints from more than 4,500 vehicles had been removed. These include 3,153 vehicles with tinted windows and 1,485 with illegal number plates, the spokesman told adding that 3,211 vehicles were also issued fine tickets against the two violations.
He said the crackdown was being carried out in the beats including Karachi, Lyari, Nooriabad, Jamshoro and Matiari. According to him, SSP National Highways and Motorway Police Karamullah Soomro had requested the people to use original registration plates which were issued by Sindh Excise and Taxation Department.
The SSP also advised the people to avoid tinting the windows of their vehicles to avoid penalties.
