ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Oct, 2018 ) :As the winter is knocking at the door, a huge variety of traditional hand-woven soft multicoloured shawls and scarves for women's and Young girls' with reasonable prices are selling like hot cake all across the Federal capital's shopping malls, markets and road side shops to protect themselves during the cold season.

A report aired by a private news channel, colorful, floral and relatively warm, shawls have been used as a fashion accessory for eons. They are still quite popular with women today as they enhance their look without having to put a great deal of effort into dressing.

Many designers now make shawls a part of their winter collection, and boutiques, garment shops and even roadside stalls begin to display numerous beautiful, multi-colored shawls once the winter starts.

A 45 year old female buyer at Super Market said , shawls are not only a part of the traditional attire of shalwar kameez, as many young people also make a fashion statement wearing dark and bright shawls with jeans, tee-shirts and kurtas.

According to shopkeepers , our latest "Poshema" collection with pure pashmina shawl is selling like hot cakes so grab your favourite now before it ran out of racks.

Asim Khan a shopkeeper in Jinnah Super said , these shawls have jamawar woven design on one side and woven stripes on the other.These pashmina woven shawls are fashionable and is a perfect accessory for anytime.

Another retailer said , solid color pashmina shawls are also in high demand because shawls can be wrap as tie and suitable with any dress.

"We are offering plain pashmina shawls in black pashmina, white pashmina, tosh pashmina color etc. We can also make the plain pashmina shawls as per our buyer taste. These shawls we are making on regular basis and always in our ready stock", he added.

Offering finest quality of pashmina shawls , stoles, scarves in multicolored stripes pattern which is highly in demand by youngsters, said a Young Girl Samiyan Imran.

Pashmina shawls are highly in demand due to its modern look and softness, said a Female buyer.

We are making these shawls on hand loom machines and on hi-tech machines as well, said a shopkeeper Kamran Shah.

Kamran further said everybody want to wear designer clothes in this fashion era as well as for accessories.

We are offering designer wool shawls with some exclusive work on it like zareen work .

"Our designer wool shawls are ultra soft and perfect match for any occasion", he mentioned.

When attending a wedding or any other open-air ceremony, it's best if you choose an embroidered cashmere shawl instead of those thick sweaters and cardigans, said a buyer Shiza Ali.

Apart from long, flaunting shawls, triangle woolen loom shawls are in abundance in shops these days. These looms cover your back and front sufficiently keeping you pleasantly warm even on one of coldest days of the season, said Kashaf Iman .
