NAB Chairman Meets Chinese Vice Foreign Minister

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Nov, 2016 ) : Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Qamar Zaman Chaudhry called on Chinese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Liu Zhen Min during his official visit to China and discussed matters of mutual interest.
The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere in which matters of mutual interest including Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Pakistan and China was discussed. Chairman NAB Qamar Zaman Chaudhry said corruption was a menace for all developing countries especially Asian countries striving for growth and to maintain economic stability.
Last two decades witness a global realization about harmful effects of corruption on economy. He said Pakistan had attached great importance to its relationship with China. Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was significant in increasing economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
The cooperation between the two countries in anti-corruption work would further be enhanced to eradicate corruption. Liu Zhen Min, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs China reciprocated very warmly to the welcoming words and talked about strategic partnership between the two countries and the need for future cooperation in the field of anti-corruption work.
He said the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between the two countries for collaboration in Anti-Corruption work was an important development. He appreciated NAB's efforts under the leadership of Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, Chairman NAB to eradicate corruption and conveyed his regards for Pakistan leadership.
