Nawaz, Maryam’s Parole Extended By Three Days

Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 12th September, 2018) The Punjab government has decided to extend the parole of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz, and son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar by three days.
The three were released from Adiala Jail on parole after Nawaz's ailing wife, Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, passed away in London on Tuedsay.

The Sharif family had requested that a five-day parole be granted to the three, who are currently serving sentences at Adiala Jail.
Police escorted the three convicts from Adiala Jail to Nur Khan Airbase from where they were brought to Lahore via special flight at 2:30am today.
Nawaz’s brother Shehbaz Sharif accompanied them on the flight to Lahore.
Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, the wife of former prime minister, Muhammed Nawaz Sharif passed away on Tuesday in London's Harley Street Clinic after prolonged illness.
Begum Kulsoom was under treatment at London's Harley Street Clinic since June 2014.
She was placed on life support on Tuesday as her health deteriorated Monday night.
Sources at the clinic said she had developed a lungs problem again."She had been responding well without the ventilator until last night," the sources said.
Begum Kulsoom was diagnosed with lymphoma (throat) cancer in August 2017.
The former first lady was born in 1950. She married former premier Nawaz Sharif in April 1971.
