Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Muhammad Usman Dar Friday said the opposition parties should better hold protests on the performance of their previous governments which had left the country's economy in a shambles
It was the constitutional right of the opposition in a democratic system to hold peaceful protests against government policies, but they had no moral grounds to come to the roads against the incumbent government, he said while talking to a private news channel, He said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Safdar was hatching nefarious designs against the government.
She had no leadership capabilities, he added.
The special assistant said former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had looted the national wealth ruthlessly. He had taken massive loans from the various countries, which were creating problems for the present government in smooth functioning of the state affairs.
He said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was taking effective and kinetic measures to improve the deteriorated country's economy.
