Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) Demands Removal Of Non-engineers From The Posts Of Engineers

Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has demanded of the Workers Welfare Fund (WWF), an institution working under Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development to immediately remove the non-engineers appointed on the seats of engineers
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jan, 2019 ) :Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has demanded of the Workers Welfare Fund (WWF), an institution working under Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development to immediately remove the non-engineers appointed on the seats of engineers.
According to an official source, PEC through a letter conveyed to the WWF that the appointment of non-engineers on the posts of engineers is absolutely illegal. Utilizing services of non-engineers for the work which is supposed to be done by engineers is worth punishment crime.
The punishment of utilizing services of non-engineers instead of professional engineers is of six-months, the source said.
The council has demanded to appoint the registered engineers from PEC for the relevant posts, in compliance with the decision of Supreme Court.
