Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Wins Two Seats Of LG By-election

After winning two district council's seats in local government's by-elections of Union Council (UC) Kehal and UC Slahad PTI's position is strengthened to form district government in Abbottabad. PTI has clinched two seats of Union Council Slahad
ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2018 ) :After winning two district council's seats in local government's by-elections of Union Council (UC) Kehal and UC Slahad PTI's position is strengthened to form district government in Abbottabad.
PTI has clinched two seats of Union Council Slahad and Kehal while PML-N supported independent candidate won in UC Bakot for local government's by-elections. According to the unofficial results of UC Salhad where PTI candidate Malik Suleman won by obtaining 2196 votes and PML-N candidate Shafeeq remained runner-up by getting 2007 votes.
In UC Kehal, PTI candidate Rana Safdar won by getting 1513 votes and PML-N candidate by achieving 1213 remained on second while in UC Bakot PML-N supported independent candidate Nazeer Abbassi won the elections by securing 4478.
Under strict security measures, local government's by-elections of three union councils of district Abbottabad culminated in peaceful manners DPO Abbottabad has deputed 1000 policemen for the security of the electoral process in all three UC's.
539,58 voters of Kehal, Salhad, and Bakot union councils have exercised their right of votes in 48 polling stations where 140 polling booths were also established for male and female voters.
Four candidates contested in Bakot Union Council for the local government's by-elections including Nazir Ahmed Abbasi (Sword), Muhammad Zaheer Abbasi (Scale), Shoukat Arbab Abbasi (Bat), Zahid Hussain (Washing Machine) where total registered votes are 21,220.
Eight candidates were challenged in UC Kehal including Javed Khan (Bench), Altaf Hussain (Bracket Fan), Raja Muhammad Iqbal Turk (Crane), Sardar Zakir Hussain (Ice Cream), Sardar Umair Anwar (Washing Machine), Safdar Rana (Bat), Liaqat Li Khan (Lantern), and Muhammad Sajid Awan (Lion) where 13,965 were registered.
Six candidates including Ch Muhammad Shakeel (Bracket Fan) Dildar (Bench), Raja Saeed Ahmed Khan (Lantern), Muhammad Shafeeq Khan Tanoli (Tiger), Mufti Naeem Haider Awan (Crane) and Malik Suleman Khan Jadoon ( Bat) contested for the LG by-elections in UC Salhad where total 18,773 voters were registered.
