According to the results announced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Balochistan National Party candidate won in PB-42 Kharan constituency with 15354 votes.

In 2013 general elections, National Party candidate Rahmat Ali was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) with 2073 votes. The second runner up was Balochistan National Party (Awami) candidate Asadullah who got 1079 votes.

At least 6 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates contested in PB-42. In 2013 elections, there were 42102 voters registered in PB-42, out of which 3891 votes were polled out.
