PBM Distributes Over Rs 53 Mln Among 8,898 Swat People

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th August, 2016) : Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) has distributed over Rs 53 million Individual Financial Assistance (IFA) among 8,898 deserving persons of the Swat district during the last three years. According to official sources, the PBM was providing Individual Financial Assistance to the poor, widows, destitute women, orphans and disabled persons.
He said the main aim of IFA was to fulfill the needs of the poor people and empower them economically.
Assistance was being provided to the needy individuals on first come first serve basis. He said a person having monthly income of upto Rs 10,000/- or equivalent was eligible for receiving financial assistance.
False declaration or provision of wrong information may result in recoveries and permanent ineligibility or debar from all PBM schemes, he added. Govt employees, family members and beneficiaries of other social welfare agencies were ineligible for getting IFA, he said.
