PHA Completes 30pc Rehabilitation Work On Two Old Parks

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jan, 2017 ) : The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has completed up to 30 per cent rehabilitation work on two old parks -- Baghechi and Toya Kani -- in the old city area.
Talking to APP here on Monday, PHA spokesman Jalaluddin said that the authorities had decided to rehabilitate all old parks of the city in order to restore recreational activities there. He said that work has been started at two parks including Baghechi and Toya Kani where cleanliness work has been completed and work on filling the digs was in progress, which would be completed soon.
Latest infrastructure would be made there in order to provide best recreational spot to the citizens.
He said that the PHA had also started rehabilitation work at another park, Shujabad Park, where work had been kicked off.
Beautiful landscaping, boundary walls, plantation of saplings and flowers and jogging tracks would be made in these parks, he added. On the other hand, the PHA authorities had formed different teams to recover publicity free.
He said that the set recovery target of publicity fee was Rs 120 million till July 2017 out of which Rs 30 has been recovered so far. The teams has been directed to ensure 100 per cent recovery.
