Police Arrest Accused Involved In Stealing Rs 4.7 Mln From ATM Machine

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Nov, 2018 ) :Mansoorabad police arrested an engineer for stealing Rs 4.7 million in cash from ATM machine of a bank on Monday.

Addressing press conference here, SP Madina Town Dr Fahad said that police had arrested an engineer namely Usman on stealing cash Rs 4.7 million from ATM machine of a private bank situated on canal road in the Mansoorabad police limits.

He said that bank manager had got registered FIR of stealing cash from ATM machine with Mansoorabad police station and also provided CCTV footage.

He said that police in the light of CCTV footage traced and arrested the accused who was an employee in ATM Company.

The accused stole cash on the pretext of repair of machine which was on default setting at that time.

The SP said that police also recovered a vehicle from the custody of the accused, who had purchased it from theft money.

Further interrogation is underway from the accused and action would also be taken against the company, SP concluded.
