Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Javed Kausar has won PP-8 with 48117 votes.

Rawalpindi (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 26th July, 2018) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Javed Kausar has won PP-8 with 48117 votes. According to the results announced by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate won in PP-8 Rawalpindi-III constituency with 48117 votes.

In 2013 general elections, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Malik Taimoor Masood was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) with 49876 votes. The second runner up was Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate Malik Umer Farooq who got 40442 votes.

At least 17 candidates from different political parties and independent candidates contested in PP-8. In 2013 elections, there were 203168 voters registered in PP-8, out of which 120144 votes were polled out.

In 2013 elections, the voter turn-out from this constituency was recorded as 59.14 %. Detailed results can be found here
