Prime Minister Performs Umrah; Prays For Prosperity Of Pakistan; Kaaba Doors Opened For Imran Khan

Prime Minister Imran Khan performed Umrah here in the wee hours of Wednesday at the Masjid-al-Haram and prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
MAKKAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Sep, 2018 ) :Prime Minister Imran Khan performed Umrah here in the wee hours of Wednesday at the Masjid-al-Haram and prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
The prime minister who is on a two-day State visit to Saudi Arabia arrived here Tuesday afternoon and offered his respects at the Roza-e-Rasool (PBUH).
The doors of the Holy Kaaba were opened for the prime minister and members of his delegation in a rare gesture of solidarity and goodwill by the government of Saudi Arabia.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Finance Minister Asad Umar, Information Minister Ch Fawad Hussain and Adviser for Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood are accompanying the prime minister.
The prime minister along with his delegation got the rare opportunity to pray inside the centuries old large stone building draped in black silk, with Quranic inscriptions in gold. It is the holiest of the sites for Muslims, and the faithful from across the world face the Kaaba for prayers five times a day.
The prime minister prayed for Allah's blessings to help the people of Pakistan in facing the multiple challenges the country was confronting.
A large number of pilgrims, mostly from Pakistan gathered outside the entrance of the Kaaba and waved to Imran Khan, attired in white Ahram, as he exited the large golden door.
Earlier the doors of the Roza-e-Rasool (PBUH) were also opened for the Prime Minister and members of his delegation. They offered special prayers at the Riaz-ul-Janna at the Masjid-e-Nabvi (SAWW).
The Prime Minister was received by Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region; Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad, Minister of Media, who serves as guide to the Pakistani delegation; Saleh bin Ali Al-Turki, Mayor of Jeddah Province; Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan; and senior civil and military officials.
