Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda has said that due to its public welfare policies and programmes, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has emerged as the largest party of the country and it would bring political and economic stability.
Prime Minister Imran Khan was an honest, courageous and upright political leader, whose name was not mentioned in Panama papers and did not sign any National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) in the country, he said while talking to a private news channel.
The minister said there was no comparison between his cherish leader Imran Khan with other corrupts including Nawaz Sharif.
The prime minister wanted accountability across the board against all corrupt elements, he added. He said Imran Khan was a popular leader among the masses and all the PTI leaders had obtained votes in the general election 2018 due to his vision.
He said the prime minister was holding foreign visits to further strengthen the national economy and improve ties, adding that there was no condition in Saudi Arabia's package for Pakistan.
To a query, he said Pakistan Peoples Party MNAs asked questions from him about water stealing in a democratic and peaceful manner in the Parliament.
He claimed that water telemeters were deliberately closed by the previous regime under Nawaz Sharif in an attempt to deprive Sindh from its share of water.
Responding the question in NA session, he said former prime minister, Member National Assembly Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had used non-parliamentary language against him.
"Despite that, I had not used any derogatory language against him", Vawda said.
