Rangers Confiscate 51 Vehicles, Arrest 2 Accused

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 04th Nov, 2017 ) :The Rangers have confiscated 51 vehicles and arrested two accused, said Sector Commander of Pakistan Rangers Sindh, Brig. Nasim Pervez,in a briefing along with SSP Central Irfan Baloch.
He said that the accused used to get vehicles on rent, used the same for their `ulterior motives' and then disposed them of. He said during a joint snap checking by Rangers and police in Nazimabad two suspects identified as Munib Siddiqui and Shiraz were rounded up and a stolen vehicle was recovered from their possession.
The gang leader was also arrested.
During initial interrogation it was revealed that the accused hired on rent vehicles from `rent a car' companies people promising their hefty profits. After paying rent for some time, the accused dumped the cars in the interior of Sindh and later sold them.
They said total 16 persons were detained and after interrogation 10 of them were released. The recovered vehicles would be returned to their original owners after following due legal procedure, they added. They said operation for the recovery of snatched and stolen vehicles would continue.
