Recommendations forwarded for establishing new police stations in seven merged districts of erstwhile fata

ISLAMABAD, Nov 5 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Nov, 2018 ) :The recommendations including establishing new police stations in seven merged districts of erstwhile Fata ( in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), merging Fata secretariat in civil secretariat, Khasadar and levies force into provincial Police has been forwarded to the concerned authorities for final approval.

According to the informed sources associated with Fata reforms, the recommendations including transfer of powers of erstwhile Fata to chief minister, KP and recruiting 22,000 new officials in the merged districts, establishing new jails in the merged districts had also been forwarded to the Federal government for approval.

According to new recommendations, Fata secretariat would seize to exist. The recruitment would be made after getting approval from the federal government.

The erstwhile FATA's seven tribal Agencies comprised Bajaur Agency, Mohmand Agency, Khyber Agency, Orakzai Agency, Kurram Agency, North Waziristan Agency and South Waziristan Agency.�The Government of Pakistan can capitalize on the situation in FATA and can alter the course of history by initiating massive development projects, thus enabling the tribesmen to get education and jobs and ensuring durable peace in the process by tying their feet to the ground, the sources added.
