Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 23rd June, 2018) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s ex-wife has ridiculed PTI over differences in awarding party tickets to women.
The PTI women workers were seen arguing and protesting outside the chairman secretariat in Lahore on Friday for not being awarded election ticket on reserved seats for women.
Commenting on this, Reham Khan wrote sarcastically Tehreek-e-Insaf – merit, tabdeeli ka chehra (face of change), status quo ka khatma (ending status quo) and bunaye ga naya Pakistan (make new Pakistan).
The angry workers surrounded the party's election cell member, Aliya Hamza, accusing her of making changes in the allotment of tickets for the reserved seats.
The disgruntled workers demanded that the allotment of tickets be revisited, asking that the decision be made on merit.
Earlieron Friday, PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said the party's review board constituted by Imran Khan would decide tickets for general election on merit and he was not a hurdle at all in awarding tickets.
