
Romanian FM Appreciates Pakistan's Role In War Against Terrorism

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -24th Augst,2016) : Foreign Minister of Romania Lazar Comanescu Wednesday appreciated Pakistan's role and efforts as a front-line state in the war against terrorism. He expressed these views in a meeting with Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain, who called on him at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bucharest, the capital of Romania. Currently, the minister is on a five-day official visit to Romania, said a press release issued here.
During the meeting, both the sides discussed matters pertaining to bilateral interests including trade, investment, defence production and science and technology besides further increasing people-to-people contacts between the two countries.
They expressed satisfaction over the existing ties between the two countries and agreed for further strengthening cooperation in diverse fields. The two sides also underlined the need for taking benefit of each other's expertise in various fields especially in the fields of oil and gas and defence production.
The minister said Pakistan attached great importance to its friendly relations with Romania and underlined the need for regular exchange of high level delegations.
