SC Directs Aamir Liaquat To Submit Reply Over Contempt Of Court Plea

ISLAMABAD, March 9 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 09th Mar, 2017 ) : The Supreme Court on Thursday directed private tv channel anchor person Dr Aamir Liaquat to submit reply over contempt of court application in one week.

A three-member bench of the court headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and comprising Justice Maqbool Baqar and Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel heard the contempt of court application filed by Social Activist Jibran Nasir.

During the course of proceedings, the petitioner appeared before the bench and informed that Aamir Liaquat violated the court orders as he continued his program with change of voice and name. He said that the court orders to stop program but the anchor person got stay orders from Sindh and Islamabad high courts.

Later , the court directed Dr. Aamir Liaquat to submit reply and adjourned hearing of the case for one week.
