Seminar On Issues Of Youth On Friday

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Nov, 2018 ) :The Pakistan Youth Change Advocates (PYCA), a civil society organization, will organize a seminar on Friday to highlight various government led efforts to enhance the scope of e governance in Pakistan and increase participation of youth in different initiatives.
According to a press release, the organization is working to promote development through youth participation.
PYCA is organizing the seminar under its "Youth Volunteerism & ICT4Governance" programme.
The Primary objective of this event is to highlight the various government-led efforts in Pakistan to enhance the scope of e-governance as well as the role of average Pakistanis in supporting the government in this realm. Among others,�Kamran Khan Bangash - Special Assistant to CM Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Science and Technology and Information Technology will grace the event as the chief guest.
The seminar will consist of launch of research on Citizens' Volunteerism and Digital Governance in Pakistan. The research focuses on the role of combining innovative Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and youth volunteerism to ensure enhanced citizen participation, efficient public service as well as greater transparency and accountability.Launch of�three (3) innovative ICT-based governance solutions, which, once mainstreamed will support the government's on-going efforts to achieve better governance in the country. These solutions were selected after a competition between university youth and were developed and up-scaled with PYCA's financial and technical support.
