Seminar On 'Pakistan And Our Responsibilities' Held At GCUF

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th August, 2016) : A seminar titled "Pakistan and Our Responsibilities" was organized in connection with Independence Day at Sufi Barkat Ali Hall of the Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) on Wednesday. Acting Vice Chancellor GCUF Prof Dr Muhammad Zubair was chief guest on the occasion while Dr Muhammad Asif Awan of urdu Department and Director Student Affairs Dr Nadeem Suhail were guests of honor.
A large number of students attended the seminar. Addressing the participants, Dr Muhammad Zubair said that students should realize their responsibilities and worked hard for getting modern education.
He urged them to focus on research in their respective fields as they have to lead the country in the days to come.
He said that Pakistan came into being after a lot of sacrifices and long struggle and we would have to work for its development by equiping themselves with modern knowledge. Dr Asif Awan highlighted the quotations of founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and urged the students to follow these quotations. Earlier, Dua was offered for martyrs of Quetta carnage. PEEF scholarships and certificates were distributed among talented male and female students. Incharge students finance Add office Saima Perveen said that PEEF scholarships of Rs 3.2 million were awarded among 136 students by the Punjab government.
