HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jan, 2018 ) :The Sindh High Court Hyderabad Circuit Bench has stayed the recent appointments in grades 6 to 15 in Syed Abdullah Shah Institute of Medical and Health Sciences in Sehwan, Jamshoro district.
The bench of justice Salahuddin Panhwar and justice Arshad Hussain Khan here Wednesday also put the respondents on notice for February 6. The court barred the health authorities from allowing all the 11 candidates who were recently selected for the jobs from joining their work.
The Sindh Health Department was also asked not to release the salaries either. The petitioner Nizam-u-din Ghanbir claimed that the SHC's September 6, 2017, order about carrying out a recruitment test for appointments on grades 6 to 15 through National Testing System, IBA Karachi or IBA Sukkur University had been violated.
He went on to claim that the appointments were purely made on political basis and cited Names of the selected candidates and their relation with local politicians in the petition. He prayed the court to cancel the appointments and to order Sindh Health Department to advertise anew the same vacancies and to conduct the test through either of the 3 institutions.
The bench directed the respondents including Secretary Health, Director General Health, District Health Officer Jamshoro, Director of the institute Moinudin Siddiqi and chairman municipal committee Sehwan to submit reply on February 6.
