Shehbaz Sharif Extends Stay In London

Shehbaz’s legal team has advised him to not return to Pakistan to face the money laundering inquiries against him.
Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 4th May, 2019) Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif’s stay in London is likely to be extended.
According to reports, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Shehbaz Sharif has extended his stay in London owing to legal and medical reasons.
Shehbaz’s legal team has advised him to not return to Pakistan to face the money laundering inquiries against him.
Shehbaz has reportedly started making contacts with important people in this regard. He will return only if he gets a positive signal.
The opposition leader’s medical check-up will be conducted in London May 8 while he is also expected to celebrate Eid in London.
Moreover, Shehbaz’s legal team has also advised his son Salman Shehbaz and son-in-law Ali Imran not to return to Pakistan.
Shehbaz Sharif has been in London since April 10.
He is said to have been holding exclusive meetings with various politicians in London.
Meanwhile, Shehbaz Sharif on Friday announced Names of central office bearers of the party including Maryam Nawaz Sharif as its Vice President.
The office bearers were appointed in consultation with Quaid of the party Nawaz Sharif and other party leaders.
According to names announced by the leadership, Ahsan Iqbal will be the Secretary General and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will be the Senior Vice President of the party.
The Vice Presidents include Abid Sher Ali, Ayaz Sadiq, Ch Barjees Tahir, Dr Darshan Lal Punchi, Hamza Shehbaz Sharif, Khawaja Saad Rafiq, Khurram Dastgir, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Mian Javed Latif, Muhammad Zubair, Mushahid Ullah Khan, Nelson Azeem, Pervaiz Rashid, Raheela Durrani, Rana Tanveer Hussain and Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan.
