Shelter Home Inaugurated By PM Was Previously Drug Rehabilitation Centre: Reports

Drug rehabilitation centre turned into a shelter home in Peshawar
Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 15th December, 2018) Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday inaugurated state of the art Shelters Homes for orphans, street children and homeless people as part of 100 days plan of the PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
However, the KP government reportedly got the rehabilitation centre for drug addicts inaugurated as a shelter home by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
According to media reports, the shelter home was closed a while after the prime minister inaugurated it.
With this step, the drug addicts have become devoid of their rehabilitation centre.
The drug rehabilitation centre turned into shelter home was hailed by people from cross section of the society including politicians, local government members and general public.
The shelter homes are termed a great relief for homeless and needy people in the province.
The project is aimed at restoring the self-respect of those people who spend the night under the open sky besides broadening the circle of social responsibility by the state and citizens.
