Shopkeepers fined for overcharging in Bahawalpur

District government has initiated crackdown against hoarding and overcharging in the district. According to District Officer Industries Pervez Faheem Bukhari, various complaints from citizens were received regarding hoarding and overcharging by shopkeepers.

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Oct, 2018 ) :District government has initiated crackdown against hoarding and overcharging in the district. According to District Officer Industries Pervez Faheem Bukhari, various complaints from citizens were received regarding hoarding and overcharging by shopkeepers.

He said that different shops were inspected and fine of Rs 17000 were imposed on the violators.

Inspection of shops for overcharging would continue, he added.

He said that strict action would be taken against shopkeepers involved in overcharging.
